Trying to put together what we've been training all week. Not quite race intensity (longer than normal Long course). Tired on the hills after all the terrain this week, should have had gel at drinks point (10) as suddenly v hard work after that all the way home. Limited complete mess makin to 3 (no good contour picture so big series of parallel errors) and committed to early climb on 12 before i looked properly at the leg but mostly just some not quite optimal lines and minor hesitations apart from that. 1999 map so some vegetation changed since. Otherwise an amazing and memorable training in a very beautiful forest!

I'm no specialist in this terrain at all so don't take my comments too seriously. :-)
I love your route choice to number 2; it looks like something out of a textbook for how to do it!
Forget number 3, that was just shit happens.
I wonder, to number 10, when you were on the left side of the straight line, why did you choose to go right anyway? Was it planned from the beginning? Perhaps it's the best route choice? I seriously don't know. Your opinion?
Number 12, that was the first thing I noticed. Yeah, I do that kind of stuff too when I don't get my gel; it's difficult to avoid such things when becoming tired. Tired is warning bells for me, I have learned to handle it. And it gets easier and easier every year to handle (maybe it's because of all the practice I get of being tired? :-) ) Anyway, it looks like a wonderful training well performed in nice terrain!

Cat : Hej Ulrik! Yes, 2 was nice, or at least it seemed good when I ran it. With 10, well next time I should have a more transparent track or put a copy of the blank map under too, the green faster running near the beginning and after the steep bit near the end of the leg was a big track, the route choice was based on linking the two. As for 12, yep I was tired. But it's good to practice that too. It's definitely not the worst tiredness mistake I've ever made. The terrain is great, it was on the WOC embargo before we had access problems and for a good reason! Back soon, see you next week :-)
